Possible Causes

Open lower oven sensor, damaged lower sensor harness, loose connector at control, failed EOC input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker before servicing.

  • Locate lower sensor: In the lower cavity, find the sensor on the rear wall. Remove screws and pull it forward to access the connector.
  • Measure resistance: With the sensor unplugged, check resistance at room temperature (~1050–1100 Ω). Infinite or very high resistance indicates an open sensor.
  • Inspect wiring: Check the harness from the sensor to the control board for pinched or burnt wires, especially where it passes through the oven liner.
  • Replace faulty component: Replace the lower oven temperature sensor if readings are incorrect. If the sensor and wiring are good, replace the EOC.
