Possible Causes

Shorted oven cavity light, shorted light wiring harness, failed low-voltage regulator on the main control board, moisture ingress into the control area.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker.

Check oven light circuit:

  • Remove the glass cover over the oven lamp and take out the bulb.
  • Inspect the bulb for filament breaks or shorts; replace with the correct Midea-specified oven bulb.
  • Inspect the lamp holder for signs of arcing or melting.

Inspect wiring and control:

  • Access the rear of the oven and inspect the light wiring harness for pinched or burnt wires.
  • Dry any visible moisture around the control board and connectors.
  • If replacing the bulb and checking the wiring does not clear E12, the main control board's low-voltage section may be damaged and require replacement.
