Possible Causes
Blown oven lamp, Faulty lamp holder, Open lamp wiring, Failed lamp relay or triac on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Switch off power at the breaker before replacing the lamp or accessing wiring. Glass may be fragile and hot.
- 1. Replace the lamp: Remove the glass lamp cover inside the cavity (usually twists off). Replace the bulb with the exact type and wattage specified by Panasonic (often a high-temperature E14 or similar).
- 2. Test operation: Restore power and open the door or press the light button. If the new lamp does not light, continue diagnosis.
- 3. Inspect lamp holder: With power off, check the lamp socket for corrosion or heat damage. Tighten any loose connections.
- 4. Check wiring: Access the rear of the lamp assembly from the outside of the cavity. Inspect the wires and connectors back to the control board.
- 5. Control board check: If wiring and lamp holder are good, the lamp relay or triac on the control PCB may have failed. This typically requires board repair or replacement.
