Oven displays E1 and will not heat or shuts down shortly after starting a cooking program.
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.

Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before accessing internal components.
- Visual inspection: Locate the oven temperature sensor probe inside the cavity (usually a thin metal rod at the rear or side wall). Check that it is firmly mounted and not bent or broken.
- Check wiring: From the rear or top access panel, trace the sensor wires to the main control board. Ensure the connector is fully seated and wires are not pinched or burned.
- Measure resistance: With the oven disconnected from power, unplug the sensor connector and measure resistance with a multimeter. A typical Princess NTC sensor reads around 1–1.1 kΩ at 25°C (check service data if available). Infinite or near-zero resistance indicates a faulty sensor.
- Reset control: After checking connections, restore power and see if the error clears. Some models clear E1 after a successful self-test.
If the sensor is out of specification, replace the oven temperature sensor. If the sensor tests correctly but E1 persists, the main control board may be defective and should be replaced by a professional.
