Possible Causes

Stuck cooling fan relay on PCB, shorted temperature sensor near the control area, faulty cooling fan thermostat, wiring short keeping the fan energized

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect mains power before working on the oven.

  • Allow cool-down: Confirm that the oven is completely cool. Some models keep the fan running until a safe temperature is reached; this is normal. If it runs for hours, there is a fault.
  • Check cooling thermostat: Locate the cooling fan thermostat (often on the top of the cavity). Test for continuity at room temperature. If it remains closed when cool, replace it.
  • Inspect control PCB: Look for a stuck relay controlling the fan. If the relay contacts are welded closed, the PCB must be replaced.
  • Wiring check: Ensure no wires are shorted together at the fan or thermostat terminals.
