Safety first: Ensure the oven is installed according to Proline clearance requirements.

Check installation: Verify that cabinet cut-out dimensions and ventilation slots match the installation manual. Improve airflow if vents are blocked.
Inspect door seal: Replace a damaged or flattened door gasket to reduce heat escaping into the control area.
Cooling thermostat test: If the fan runs excessively long even when the oven is cool to the touch, test the cooling thermostat for correct open/close temperatures (requires service data). Replace if it remains closed when cool.

The oven cooling fan continues running for a very long time after cooking, but eventually stops.
