Possible Causes
Blown oven bulb, Corroded lamp contacts, Faulty lamp glass cover seal allowing moisture, Open circuit in lamp wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off power. The lamp area may still be hot; allow it to cool.
- Replace bulb: Unscrew or unclip the glass lamp cover inside the cavity. Remove the old bulb (usually an E14 high-temperature oven bulb) and install a new bulb of the same wattage and temperature rating.
- Inspect lamp holder: Check for corrosion or burnt contacts in the lamp holder. Clean lightly if needed.
- Check wiring: If a new bulb does not work, disconnect power and inspect the wiring to the lamp holder from the control panel or terminal block.
- Replace lamp holder: If contacts are damaged, replace the complete Severin lamp holder assembly.
- Test: Restore power and verify that the light operates in all relevant modes.
