Possible Causes
Burned-out oven lamp, Faulty lamp socket, Failed oven light switch or relay on control board, Broken light wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool. Glass bulbs and covers can be hot.
- Replace bulb: Remove the glass light cover inside the oven (it usually twists off). Replace the bulb with the correct high-temperature oven lamp specified for your model.
- Inspect socket: If the new bulb does not light, inspect the socket for corrosion or burning. Replace the socket if damaged.
- Check door switch: Some models use a door switch to control the light. Test the switch for continuity when the door is opened and closed; replace if faulty.
- Control relay: If the light is controlled by the EOC and all other components are good, the light relay on the control board may have failed; replace the control board if necessary.
