• Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and evenly. Look for obstructions on the gasket or racks that prevent full closure.
• Inspect hinges: Open the door and check for sagging or bent hinges. Tighten hinge screws at the frame and door if loose.
• Test door switch: Locate the door switch plunger (usually near the top of the frame). Press it manually and listen for a click. If no click or if the oven light does not respond, the switch may be faulty.
• Access and test switch: Remove the front trim or side panel to access the oven door switch. Test for continuity with a multimeter while pressing the plunger. Replace it if it does not change state.
• Check latch alignment: If the oven uses a latch-style switch, ensure the latch engages the switch fully when the door is closed. Adjust the latch bracket if needed.
