Possible Causes
Control lock feature enabled, a stuck or unresponsive lock key, or the control board not exiting lock mode properly.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: No internal repair is needed for this feature; do not disassemble the oven for a LOC indication alone.
- Disable control lock: On most Thor Kitchen ovens, press and hold the Lock or Control Lock key for 3-5 seconds until the LOC indicator disappears. Refer to the user manual for the exact key combination.
- Power reset: If the lock will not clear, turn off the breaker for 1-2 minutes, then restore power and attempt to disable the lock again.
- Check keypad function: If the lock key does not respond but other keys do, the touchpad/control panel may be failing and require replacement.
- Service if persistent: If 'LOC' remains on the display and no key combination clears it, the electronic oven control board may be stuck in lock mode and should be evaluated or replaced by a technician.
