Possible Causes
Failed main oven temperature sensor, Broken sensor harness, Loose connector at the control board, Sensor wiring shorted to the chassis
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before testing.
- Locate the sensor: Find the main oven temperature sensor on the rear wall inside the oven. Remove the mounting screws and gently pull the sensor forward.
- Test the sensor: Disconnect the sensor plug and measure resistance at room temperature (~1080–1100 Ω). If the reading is open, shorted, or far out of spec, replace the sensor.
- Inspect the harness: Check the harness from the sensor to the control for cuts, burns, or pinched sections. Repair or replace as needed.
- Control board: If the sensor and wiring are good, the sensor input on the electronic oven control board may be defective and require replacement.
