3. Test resistance: From the rear of the oven, disconnect the two wires to the fan element and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates the element has failed and must be replaced.
4. Replace fan element: Unscrew the element from inside the cavity, carefully pull it forward, and transfer the wires from the old element to the new Zanussi fan oven element. Avoid allowing wires to fall back into the cavity.
5. Check fan operation: While inside the cavity, spin the fan blade by hand to ensure it rotates freely. A stiff fan can cause the element to overheat.
