Possible Causes
An empty hopper, pellet bridging in the hopper, wet or swollen pellets, or an auger feed rate too low for the set temperature.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off and unplug the grill. Allow the fire pot to cool.
Steps:
- Check Hopper Level: Refill the hopper with dry, high-quality hardwood pellets if the level is low or empty.
- Break Bridging: Stir pellets in the hopper to break up any bridges or clumps that prevent them from dropping into the auger intake.
- Inspect Pellet Quality: Remove any pellets that are soft, swollen, or disintegrating. Store pellets in a dry environment.
- Clean Fire Pot: Remove excess unburned pellets and ash, then restart the grill following the manufacturer’s startup procedure.
