Display temperature much higher or lower than the actual grill temperature.

Safety first: Use heat-resistant gloves when checking the temperature on a hot grill.

• Clean the RTD probe: Wipe off grease and soot.
• Verify insertion depth: Ensure the probe extends properly into the cook chamber and is not pulled back into the wall.
• Compare with a reference thermometer: Place a reliable oven/grill thermometer near the center of the grate and compare readings at several temperatures.
• Replace the RTD if off by more than 25°F: Install a new Nexgrill RTD probe if readings are consistently inaccurate.
• Controller calibration (if available): Some models allow offset adjustment; follow Nexgrill instructions to fine-tune the displayed temperature.
