Possible Causes

Warped or misaligned heat diffuser, Blocked air holes on one side of the fire pot, RTD probe located near the hotter side, Wind entering from one side.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Allow the grill to cool before adjusting internal components.

  • Inspect the heat diffuser: Remove and check the Nexgrill heat diffuser/heat baffle for warping or misplacement. Reinstall it correctly centered over the fire pot.
  • Clean air holes: Ensure all air holes around the fire pot are clear of ash.
  • Rotate food and use zones: Until perfect balance is restored, place sensitive foods away from the hotter side and rotate them during cooking.
  • Shield from wind: Position the grill so wind does not blow directly into the side vents or under the lid.
