Possible Causes
Drip tray installed backward or not sloped correctly, Grease channel clogged with hardened grease, Grease bucket missing or overfilled, Warped drip tray
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the grill to cool completely; grease can remain hot for a long time.
- Remove cooking grates and inspect the drip tray. Ensure it is installed in the correct orientation with the slope toward the grease drain.
- Clean the grease channel and drain tube with a scraper and hot, soapy water to remove hardened grease.
- Empty and reinstall the grease bucket securely.
- If the drip tray is warped and no longer directs grease properly, replace the drip tray.
Warning: Excess grease in the cook chamber increases the risk of grease fires; maintain a regular cleaning schedule.
