Controller buttons or dial are unresponsive or intermittent.

Safety first: Unplug the grill before removing the controller.

• 1. Power cycle:
  • Unplug the grill for 5 minutes, then plug it back in and test the buttons.
• 2. Inspect the controller:
  • Remove the controller from the hopper.
  • Check for moisture, corrosion, or physical damage.
• 3. Dry out moisture:
  • If condensation is present, allow the controller to dry in a warm, dry area for 24 hours.
• 4. Replace the controller:
  • If buttons remain unresponsive or only work when pressed very hard, replace the controller assembly.
