Possible Causes

A clogged grease drain channel, a misaligned drip tray, a missing or overfilled grease bucket, or an unlevel grill.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Grease is flammable. Allow the grill to cool completely before cleaning. Wear gloves.

  • 1. Level the grill:
    • Use a level to ensure the grill tilts slightly toward the grease bucket side.
    • Adjust caster heights if possible.
  • 2. Clean grease channel:
    • Remove grates and drip tray.
    • Scrape and wipe the grease drain channel leading to the bucket.
    • Use a flexible brush to clear the drain tube.
  • 3. Check drip tray alignment:
    • Reinstall the drip tray so it slopes correctly toward the drain.
    • Ensure it is fully seated on its supports.
  • 4. Maintain grease bucket:
    • Empty the grease bucket regularly.
    • Use foil liners to simplify cleaning.
