Possible Causes
A clogged grease drain channel, a misaligned drip tray, a missing or overfilled grease bucket, or an unlevel grill.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Grease is flammable. Allow the grill to cool completely before cleaning. Wear gloves.
- 1. Level the grill:
- Use a level to ensure the grill tilts slightly toward the grease bucket side.
- Adjust caster heights if possible.
- 2. Clean grease channel:
- Remove grates and drip tray.
- Scrape and wipe the grease drain channel leading to the bucket.
- Use a flexible brush to clear the drain tube.
- 3. Check drip tray alignment:
- Reinstall the drip tray so it slopes correctly toward the drain.
- Ensure it is fully seated on its supports.
- 4. Maintain grease bucket:
- Empty the grease bucket regularly.
- Use foil liners to simplify cleaning.
