Possible Causes

Blocked exhaust or intake vents, Failed airflow or pressure switch (if equipped), Combustion fan not running, Excessive ash restricting air passages.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF and unplug the grill. Allow it to cool before cleaning or accessing internal parts.

Steps to troubleshoot airflow errors:

  • 1. Inspect exhaust: Check the chimney or rear vent for obstructions such as foil caps, nests, or heavy creosote buildup. Clean as needed.
  • 2. Clean intake and fire pot: Vacuum ash from the fire pot, burn pot housing, and any intake openings. Ash can severely restrict airflow.
  • 3. Verify combustion fan operation: Listen for the fan during startup. If silent, troubleshoot the fan as you would for an ERR FAN error.
  • 4. Check airflow/pressure switch: If your Twin Eagles model uses a pressure or airflow switch, locate it along the combustion air path. Inspect the tubing for cracks or blockages and ensure electrical connections are secure.
  • 5. Replace faulty switch: If the switch does not change state when the fan runs (test with a multimeter), replace it with a compatible airflow/pressure switch.
