Misaligned Solar Valve Actuator
Solar valve actuator runs but stops in the wrong position, sending water to the roof when solar is off or bypassing panels when solar is on.

Possible Causes
Incorrect actuator mounting orientation, Stop cams set incorrectly, Valve handle not aligned with actuator, Actuator installed on wrong port of valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power to the actuator and pump before adjusting the valve. Do not place fingers near moving parts.
- Set valve to manual position: Remove the actuator from the valve body and manually set the valve handle to the desired default position (e.g., pool only when solar is off).
- Align actuator: Reinstall the actuator so that its internal stops correspond to the valve positions. Ensure the actuator shaft engages the valve stem correctly.
- Adjust cams: Open the actuator cover and adjust the stop cams so that the actuator stops at the correct positions for solar on and off.
- Test operation: Restore power and command solar on and off, verifying that water is directed correctly through or around the Heliocol panels.
