Air bubbles are visible in the pool return, and the pump basket never completely fills with water.

Possible Causes
Damaged or dry pump lid O-ring, loose suction hose clamps, cracked Bestway suction hose, poorly sealed hose adapter threads
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the pump before adjusting hoses or opening the lid.
- Inspect lid seal: Remove the lid, clean the O-ring and sealing surface, apply a thin layer of silicone lubricant, and reinstall. Replace the O-ring if cracked or flattened.
- Check suction hose: Examine the hose from pool to pump for pinholes, splits, or crushed sections. Replace damaged Bestway hoses.
- Tighten connections: Ensure hose clamps are snug and that threaded adapters are wrapped with PTFE tape if required and fully tightened without cross-threading.
- Prime and test: Fill the pump basket with water, close the lid, and restart. Observe for reduction in bubbles.
