Possible Causes

Household supply voltage out of range, Undersized or excessively long extension cord, Loose power plug or outlet contacts, Internal power supply fault on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the pump before inspecting power connections. Do not work on live electrical outlets unless you are qualified.

  • Remove extension cords: Plug the Bestway pump directly into a properly grounded outlet. Long, thin extension cords can cause voltage drop and trigger E05.
  • Check outlet quality: Inspect the outlet for signs of heat damage or looseness. Try another known‑good outlet on a different circuit if possible.
  • Measure voltage (if equipped): Using a multimeter and proper safety precautions, verify that the supply voltage matches the pump’s rating (typically 110–120 V or 220–240 V depending on region). Significant deviation can cause this error.
  • Inspect power cord: Check the Bestway pump power cord for cuts, kinks, or crushed sections. If damaged, the cord or entire pump assembly should be replaced.

If E05 persists on a stable power source, the internal power supply circuitry on the control PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
