Possible Causes

Oversized pump for plumbing, Partially blocked return line, Flow sensor miscalibration, Air entrainment causing erratic flow

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before adjusting plumbing or sensors.

  • Check for restrictions: Inspect the return hose and fittings for kinks, partially closed valves, or obstructions.
  • Bleed air: Use the air release valve on the filter housing to remove trapped air until water flows steadily.
  • Verify sensor installation: Ensure the flow sensor is installed in straight pipe with adequate straight length before and after, as recommended by Intex, and oriented correctly.
  • Stabilize system: Avoid rapid valve changes that cause sudden surges. Run the pump with valves fully open and observe if E13 recurs.
  • Replace sensor or board: If plumbing is correct and E13 persists, the flow sensor or control board calibration may be faulty. Replace the flow sensor assembly first, then the control panel PCB if needed.
