Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the pump at the main breaker. Do not attempt to run the pump repeatedly with this error.
- Visual inspection: Remove the control cover and inspect the PCB for burnt components, cracked casings, or strong burnt smell.
- Check for external shorts: Disconnect the motor leads from the PCB and any external control wiring. Try powering the controller alone (if allowed by the manual). If E06 remains, the fault is internal.
- Surge protection: Before replacing parts, consider installing a surge protector on the pump circuit to prevent future damage.
Internal drive faults generally require replacement of the entire control PCB or motor‑drive assembly. This is a level‑5 repair and should be performed by a qualified technician or the unit should be replaced.
