Speck Pumpen
Minor Suction-Side Air Ingress
The pump runs normally, but there is a constant small air bubble visible under the clear lid.

Possible Causes
Slightly leaking lid O-ring, Micro-leak at a suction union, Low water level causing occasional air draw at the skimmer, Tiny leak at the mechanical seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the pump before opening the lid.
Reduce air ingress:
- Clean and lubricate the Speck lid O-ring and ensure the lid is tight.
- Check suction unions for drips when the pump is off; reseal if necessary.
- Maintain pool water level at the proper height to avoid vortexing at the skimmer.
A small stationary bubble is often acceptable, but if it grows or causes loss of prime, further leak investigation is needed.
