The pump runs, but the filter pressure (if a gauge is present) is very high, and flow is reduced.

Safety First: Unplug the pump and close valves (if present) before opening the filter housing.

• Clean or replace cartridge: Remove the Summer Waves filter cartridge and hose it off thoroughly. If pressure remains high or the cartridge is deformed, replace it.
• Shock and clarify pool: Treat the pool water to remove algae and fine particles that quickly clog the filter.
• Check return line: Ensure return hoses and fittings are not blocked or partially closed.
• Monitor pressure: After cleaning, reassemble and restart. Note the clean starting pressure to know when future cleanings are needed.
