Pump runs but there is very weak water flow at the pool returns.

Safety: Turn off power and relieve pressure at the filter before opening any equipment.

• Check filter pressure: If the gauge is higher than normal, backwash sand/DE filters or clean cartridge elements thoroughly.
• Open valves fully: Verify that all return-side valves are fully open and that any water features are not restricting flow excessively.
• Inspect return fittings: Remove eyeball fittings at the pool returns and check for debris or calcium buildup.
• Adjust pump speed: On Zodiac variable-speed pumps, try increasing RPM slightly to improve flow, but avoid running at maximum speed continuously if plumbing is small.

If flow remains weak with a clean filter and open valves, have a technician evaluate system design and pump sizing.
