Gas surface burner will not light. You may hear clicking but observe no flame, or the flame only lights with a match.

Possible Causes
Clogged burner head or ports, misaligned burner cap, weak or cracked spark electrode, or a faulty spark module.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off all burner knobs. Avoid using open flame near gas leaks.
- Check burner cap and head:
- Ensure the burner cap is properly seated on the burner head.
- Remove the cap and head and clean all ports with a stiff brush or toothpick (do not enlarge holes).
- Inspect electrode: Check the ceramic spark electrode near the burner for cracks or heavy buildup; clean gently with a non-abrasive pad.
- Test spark: Turn the knob to 'Lite' and observe the spark at the electrode. If no spark on that burner but others spark, the electrode or wire may be faulty. If no burners spark, suspect the spark module.
- Replace parts as needed: Replace the burner head/cap if damaged, the electrode if cracked, or the spark module if no burners spark and power is present.
