Possible Causes

Liquid spill on touch panel, Short-circuited membrane switch, Damaged touch glass, Faulty keypad matrix on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply.

  • Clean and dry panel: If the error appeared after a spill or cleaning, gently dry the touch panel area. Allow several hours with the oven door open for moisture to evaporate.
  • Inspect for cracks: Check the glass touch surface for cracks or impact damage that could short-circuit the keypad layers.
  • Disconnect keypad: With the power off, disconnect the keypad ribbon from the EOC. Restore power briefly. If F7 disappears when the keypad is disconnected, the keypad is faulty and must be replaced.
  • Replace keypad or control: Install a new Bauknecht touch panel assembly. If F7 persists even with a new keypad, replace the EOC.

Warning: Do not use the oven if it starts by itself or responds unpredictably; this poses a safety hazard.
