Possible Causes
Burned-out oven bulb, faulty lamp socket, defective oven light switch or relay, loose wiring to lamp assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before replacing the bulb to avoid electric shock.
- Replace bulb: Remove the glass lens cover inside the oven (usually twists off). Replace the bulb with the correct high-temperature oven lamp specified by Blomberg.
- Inspect socket: If the new bulb does not light, check the socket for corrosion or heat damage.
- Check door switch: Ensure the door switch is not stuck and that the light comes on when the door is opened (if designed to do so).
- Wiring and relay: If the socket and bulb are good, inspect the wiring and the control relay for the light circuit. Replace the socket or control as needed.
