Induction cooktop shows E07 and does not respond to touch commands.

Safety first: Isolate the appliance from mains before opening the housing.

Steps:

• Power cycle: Turn off the breaker for 10 minutes, then restore power. Sometimes communication errors clear after a full reset.
• Inspect wiring: Remove the hob and access the control area. Check all low-voltage connectors between the touch panel, main control board, and power modules. Reseat each connector firmly.
• Look for corrosion or moisture: Any signs of liquid ingress on the control boards can cause intermittent communication faults. Dry the area thoroughly and clean with appropriate electronics cleaner if minor.
• Check for visible damage: Burn marks or swollen components on the control board indicate surge damage; the board must be replaced.
• Replace defective board: If wiring is intact and E07 persists, replace the main control board or user interface board as per Brandt service documentation.
