Possible Causes
Open or shorted oven NTC sensor, Broken sensor wiring, Faulty connection at the control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the range from the mains before removing panels or the back cover.
- Locate sensor: Inside the oven cavity, find the temperature probe (usually at the rear or top). Inspect it for physical damage.
- Check wiring: From the rear, trace the sensor wires to the electronic control board. Ensure connectors are fully seated and not burnt.
- Measure resistance: With a multimeter, measure the sensor resistance at room temperature and compare it with Candy specifications. Replace the sensor if open, shorted, or out of range.
- Control board: If a new sensor does not clear Er01, the oven control board’s sensor input may be defective and require replacement.
