Possible Causes

Failed convection fan motor, jammed fan blade due to grease buildup, burnt wiring to the fan motor, faulty fan relay on the control board.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and ensure the oven is cool before working near the fan.

  • Check fan movement: Remove the oven's rear internal panel (inside the cavity) to expose the fan blade. Try spinning it by hand; it should rotate freely.
  • Clean buildup: Remove heavy grease or carbon deposits from the fan blades and the surrounding area.
  • Access motor terminals: From the rear of the appliance, locate the convection fan motor and inspect its wiring for heat damage.
  • Test motor: Disconnect the motor and measure the resistance across its terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. If safe and qualified, you can bench-test the motor with the correct mains voltage.
  • Replace motor: Remove mounting screws, withdraw the motor, and install a new DeLonghi convection fan motor. Ensure the fan blade is correctly oriented and secured.
  • Control board check: If the motor is functional but never receives power, the fan relay or control board may be faulty and require professional replacement.
