Possible Causes
Clogged burner ports, misaligned burner cap, low gas pressure, or a partially closed gas shutoff valve.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off all burners and allow them to cool before cleaning. Do not use sharp objects that can enlarge burner ports.
- Check cap alignment: Remove and reseat the burner cap so it sits flat and centered.
- Clean burner head: Remove the burner head and clean the ports with a soft brush and a wooden toothpick. Clear any food or grease from the ignition port near the igniter.
- Verify gas supply: Ensure the gas shutoff valve to the range is fully open. If other gas appliances are weak, contact your gas supplier.
- Reassemble and test: Dry all parts thoroughly, reassemble, and test ignition.
