Possible Causes
Open-circuit oven temperature sensor, Broken sensor wiring harness, Loose sensor connector at control board, Corroded sensor terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before testing.
- Access sensor: Locate the oven temperature sensor probe inside the oven cavity. Remove the mounting screws and gently pull the sensor forward to access the connector.
- Check connections: Inspect the connector for corrosion or loose pins. Reseat the connector firmly.
- Measure resistance: With the sensor disconnected, use a multimeter to measure resistance across the sensor leads. At room temperature, expect ~1080–1100 Ω. If the reading is infinite (open) or extremely high, the sensor is faulty.
- Inspect harness: If the sensor tests good, check continuity from the sensor connector to the control board connector. Repair any broken wires or replace the harness.
- Replace sensor: If the sensor is out of spec, install a new Haier-compatible oven temperature sensor, secure it with screws, and reconnect wiring.
After replacement, restore power and test a low-temperature bake cycle to confirm proper operation.
