Possible Causes
Failed relay on the control board for the oven light or convection fan, Shorted light socket or bulb, Wiring short to the chassis, Control board logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before inspecting internal wiring.
- Check bulb: Remove the oven lamp cover and bulb. Inspect for broken filament or short. Replace with the correct high-temperature bulb.
- Test without bulb: With the bulb removed, restore power and see if F8 clears. A shorted bulb can trigger the fault.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the rear panel and check wiring to the light socket and convection fan for melted insulation or shorts to the metal chassis.
- Control board: If external components are fine, the relay or driver on the EOC may be damaged. Board replacement is typically required.
