How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect the appliance from the mains before opening the hob.
Steps:
- 1. Clean and dry surface: Wipe the glass touch area with a dry cloth. Ensure there is no water, cleaning fluid, or residue.
- 2. Power reset: Turn off the hob at the circuit breaker for 10–15 minutes, then restore power.
- 3. Access touch PCB: Remove the hob from the worktop and separate the glass top to expose the touch control board.
- 4. Check ribbon cable: Reseat the flat cable between the touch PCB and the power module. Inspect for cracks or corrosion.
- 5. Replace touch PCB: If F18 persists and the panel is unresponsive or erratic, replace the touch control board with the correct Indesit part.
