Possible Causes
Control lock feature enabled by user, stuck lock key, software glitch in control board.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal repair is needed for normal control lock use.
- Disable control lock:
- Press and hold the Lock or Control Lock key for 3–5 seconds until LOC disappears.
- On some Kenmore models, press and hold Start or a specific key combination (refer to user manual).
- Power reset if lock will not clear:
- Turn off power at the breaker for 1 minute, then restore.
- Try the lock/unlock sequence again.
- If LOC remains and keys are unresponsive:
- Keypad may be faulty; inspect and possibly replace the control panel / keypad.
