Possible Causes
Stuck fan relay on the control board, faulty oven temperature sensor reading hot, shorted fan thermostat (on some models), control board software glitch.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing internal components.
- Allow cooling:
- Some Kenmore ovens keep the cooling fan running until the cavity cools; this can take 30–60 minutes after high-temperature use.
- Power reset:
- If the fan never stops, turn off power for 5 minutes, then restore it.
- Check sensor:
- Test the oven temperature sensor resistance at room temperature; replace if out of spec.
- Control board:
- If the sensor is good and the fan still runs constantly, the electronic oven control (EOC) fan relay may be stuck closed, and the board should be replaced.
