Possible Causes
Boil-over or hot spill covering sensor area, Prolonged operation at maximum power, Blocked airflow under cooktop, Faulty surface temperature sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the cooktop. Do not touch the hot glass; wait until the surface cools.
- Remove spills: Once cool, clean the glass thoroughly with a cooktop cleaner, especially around the affected zone.
- Ventilation check: Confirm that there is adequate airflow under the cooktop and that insulation or stored items are not pressed against the underside.
- Power reset: After cleaning and cooling, turn the breaker OFF for 1 minute, then ON, and test the zone at a moderate power level.
- Sensor/module fault: If E2 returns quickly at low power and the glass is not excessively hot, the surface temperature sensor or induction module may be defective and require replacement.
