Possible Causes

Cooling fan tachometer failure (if equipped), blocked airflow causing fan overload, faulty fan motor, control board fan monitoring circuit failure.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker. Allow the oven to cool before accessing internal components.

  • Listen for the fan: When the oven is running or just after shutting off, you should hear the cooling fan. If it is silent and F30 appears, suspect the fan circuit.
  • Access the fan: Remove the rear panel to locate the oven cooling fan assembly (usually near the top rear). Check that the blades spin freely by hand and are not obstructed by insulation or wiring.
  • Test the fan motor: Disconnect the fan and measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open reading indicates a bad motor. Replace the fan assembly.
  • Check voltage: With extreme caution and power ON, start a bake cycle and measure voltage at the fan connector when the fan should run. If no voltage is present but the control is calling for the fan, the relay or control board is faulty.
  • Repair wiring or replace board: Repair any damaged wiring. If the wiring and fan are good, replace the main control board or relay board that drives the fan.
