Gas burner clicks (sparks) but will not light or lights slowly; weak or uneven flame on a Miele gas cooktop.

Safety: Turn off the burner and allow it to cool. Shut off gas supply if removing injectors.

• Clean burner: Remove the burner cap and head. Clean ports with a soft brush and a wooden toothpick (never enlarge holes with metal tools).
• Check cap alignment: Reinstall the burner cap so it sits flat and centered on the burner base.
• Verify gas supply: Ensure the gas shutoff valve is fully open and that other gas appliances in the home operate normally.
• Injector cleaning: If one burner remains weak, remove the burner head and carefully clean around the injector (jet). If blocked, the injector may need to be removed and cleaned or replaced by a technician.
