Possible Causes
Clogged burner ports, blocked injector/nozzle, incorrect burner cap placement, low gas pressure, or partially closed shutoff valve.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the burner and allow it to cool. Turn off the gas supply if removing injectors.
Steps:
- Clean burner: Remove the burner cap and head. Clean all ports with warm, soapy water and a soft brush. Use a wooden toothpick to clear stubborn debris.
- Check injector: Inspect the brass injector/nozzle under the burner head for blockage. Clean gently; do not enlarge the orifice.
- Verify cap position: Reassemble the burner, ensuring the cap is centered and seated flat.
- Gas supply: Confirm the gas shutoff valve is fully open and that the appliance is set up for the correct gas type (natural gas vs. LPG) with the proper injectors.
Warning: If multiple burners have weak flames, have a licensed gas technician check the supply pressure and regulator.
