Possible Causes
Tripped thermal fuse, No power on one leg of the supply, Failed electronic oven control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing panels. For dual-fuel models, also shut off the gas supply if working near gas components.
Steps:
- Check power supply: Verify that both legs of the 240 V supply are present at the range terminal block. A missing leg can cause lights and controls to work, but no heat.
- Inspect thermal fuse/high-limit: Access the rear or top of the oven cavity and locate any thermal fuse or high-limit thermostat. Test for continuity. Replace with the correct OEM part if it is open.
- Control output: If the fuses are good, start a bake cycle and check for voltage at the bake and broil outputs of the electronic oven control. If there is no output in any mode, replace the control board.
Warning: Do not bypass safety thermostats for normal operation.
