How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before deep cleaning. Use gloves and adequate ventilation when using cleaners.

  • 1. Empty and clean interior: Remove all food and shelves. Wash all surfaces with a solution of warm water and baking soda or mild detergent.
  • 2. Clean gaskets: Wipe door gaskets thoroughly, pulling back folds to remove trapped debris.
  • 3. Flush drain system: Clean the interior drain hole and flush the drain tube with a mild bleach solution, then rinse with clean water.
  • 4. Clean drain pan: Access the pan under the unit and wash it with hot soapy water to remove slime and odors.
  • 5. Air out the unit: Leave doors open for several hours (with power off) to allow odors to dissipate.
