Possible Causes
Accidental activation of Sabbath mode via control panel, Misunderstanding of control settings, Stuck or faulty control buttons
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: Sb is not a fault code; it indicates Sabbath mode is active, which alters normal operation.
Step 1: Exit Sabbath mode
- Refer to your user manual for the exact key combination. On many Frigidaire Gallery models, press and hold the Freezer Down and Refrigerator Up buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
- Wait for the display to return to normal temperature readouts.
Step 2: Verify cooling
- Confirm that interior lights and display behave normally when doors are opened.
- Monitor temperatures with a thermometer to ensure proper cooling.
Step 3: Check for stuck buttons (if Sb reappears)
- Inspect the control panel for stuck or unresponsive buttons.
- If buttons are sticking, gently clean around them with a slightly damp cloth (power off) and dry thoroughly.
When to call a technician: If Sabbath mode cannot be exited or reactivates on its own, the user interface board may be faulty and require replacement.
