Possible Causes
Blocked cabinet pressure equalization vent, Very tight door gasket, Rapid temperature change inside cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No electrical work is required for this symptom; unplugging is not necessary unless accessing internal vents.
Steps:
- 1. Understand normal behavior: A slight suction effect for a short time after closing is normal as warm air cools and contracts.
- 2. Check vents: Ensure interior air vents and any small equalization ports are not blocked by food items.
- 3. Gasket inspection: Verify that the gasket is not excessively sticky. Clean it with warm soapy water and dry.
- 4. Wait before reopening: If the door is hard to open, wait 30–60 seconds to allow pressure to equalize.
Note: This is usually not a fault unless the door remains extremely difficult to open for several minutes.
