How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before touching moving parts like fans. Use caution when sliding the unit to avoid damaging flooring.

Level the refrigerator: Adjust front leveling legs so the unit is stable and slightly tilted back. This reduces vibration and door movement.
Check for contact points: Ensure the rear panel, water lines, and drain pan are not vibrating against the cabinet or compressor. Adjust or pad as needed.
Identify noise source: Open the freezer and listen for noise changes when the door is opened (evaporator fan stops on many models). Noise that stops when the door opens often indicates a noisy evaporator fan motor.
Inspect fans: Access the condenser fan at the rear and the evaporator fan inside the freezer. Remove debris and replace any fan motor with worn bearings or excessive play.
