Refrigerator displays F0 and may not cool correctly; alarm tone may sound intermittently.

Steps to check:

• Power reset: Unplug the refrigerator for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. If F0 clears and does not return, it may have been a transient fault.
• Check compartment temperature: Use a fridge thermometer to verify actual temperature. If the display is clearly wrong (e.g., shows 0°C but thermometer reads 10°C), suspect a sensor issue.
• Inspect sensor location: In many Miele models, the refrigerator temperature sensor is behind an interior cover on the rear wall. Remove shelves, gently unclip the cover, and look for ice buildup or moisture around the sensor. Defrost any ice with a hair dryer on low, keeping it away from plastic parts.
• Check wiring and connector: With power unplugged, locate the sensor connector (usually a small 2‑wire plug) and ensure it is fully seated and free of corrosion. Reseat the connector.
• Measure sensor resistance (advanced): Using a multimeter, measure resistance across the sensor leads. Compare to Miele service data (typical NTC sensors are ~5–10 kΩ at room temperature). If reading is open, shorted, or far out of range, the sensor is faulty and should be replaced.

When to call a technician: If wiring and sensor appear intact but F0 persists, the main control module may be defective and should be diagnosed and replaced by a qualified Miele technician.
