Possible Causes
Loose condenser fan shroud, Worn compressor mounting grommets, Refrigerator not level, Tubing contacting the cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before touching moving parts or metal components.
- Step 1 – Level the unit: Use a spirit level to check side-to-side and front-to-back. Adjust the leveling legs until the unit is stable and the doors close smoothly.
- Step 2 – Check rear components: Remove the rear cover and inspect the condenser fan, shroud, and compressor. Tighten any loose screws.
- Step 3 – Isolate tubing: Look for refrigerant lines touching each other or the cabinet. Gently bend them slightly or insert foam to prevent contact.
- Step 4 – Compressor mounts: Inspect the rubber grommets under the compressor. If they are cracked or missing, have them replaced to reduce vibration.
